Westruper Holz- u. Ingenieur-Bau has been supporting its customers for almost 90 years. Management of the company recently passed to the fourth generation of the family. The company was founded in 1919 by Friedrich Wehrmann. He subsequently passed it on to his son-in-law Christian Wehmeyer, who carried on the business. Wilfried Wehmeyer, grandson of the company founder, remained at the head of the timber construction company until 2005, by which time the company employed more than 40 people. This year saw the fourth generation of the family take over the running of the company: Ingo Wehmeyer, son of the previous managing director, who had already spent many years in the company management with his brothers Gerd and Udo. Without doubt, the continued growth of this family business can be attributed to its ability to act with foresight, to respond flexibly to changes backed up by a good instinct for the wishes of its customers both today and tomorrow.
